God calls us to share our time, our abilities, our care and attention, and our possessions.
Sharing what we have benefits others, for sure.
What is less obvious is how much sharing benefits the giver. By sharing what you have, you become part of something bigger, and God grows you in ways you might never have imagined.
You can make a real difference in the life of your community and the lives of others through volunteering, and through giving financially.
Below are some ways to do just that.
Share your time and abilities
At Good Shepherd, we talk about being called, gifted, and sent.
God calls people to step up and make a difference in this world. God gives each person distinct talents, abilities, and interests. And God sends us into the world to make good ideas real, to connect with others, and to share the love of God with all.
That is why we volunteer. At Good Shepherd, we offer many opportunities for you to share the unique gifts God has given you.
